Epiphany Vera - VP, Engineering and Operations
Epiphany is responsible for Nellymoser's product strategy, overseeing development and the company's operations. He has been with the company since 2003 and is the architect of Nellymoser's mobile media services platform of which he continues to set direction for both product roadmap and architecture. He established Nellymoser's embedded engineering team and was instrumental in implementing key speech and audio coding technologies which have been deployed in millions of consumer media devices including Microsoft's Xbox, Sony's Playstation, Macromedia's Flash and Leapfrog's learning products.
Epiphany has extensive experience in developing multimedia systems for consumer electronics and both enterprise and carrier grade telecommunications systems. Prior to joining Nellymoser, Epiphany was co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Amai technologies. He was the principal architect of Amai's real-time operating system and system-on-chip based voice and audio processing platform. His telecommunications experience includes leading DSP development for Lucent Technologies' multi-service IP access routers and development of signal processing algorithms for Ascend Communications' market leading VoIP gateways. Epiphany Vera holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and a masters in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
