Home Depot, the nation’s leading home improvement retail chain, rolled out Nellymoser videos in a QR code initiative spanning more than 2,200 U.S. stores. The first codes appear both in store and in catalogs in conjunction with a print ad promoting the Martha Stewart Living kitchens brand. Many additional videos are being added.

The QR code campaign supports the Home Depot’s core positioning: “Need Help? You’ve Come To The Right Place.”

The videos provide instant information on the products and how to use them. The on-phone experience also enables the user to press one button to call a kitchen designer. The phone also provides direct links to a form that the shopper can use to get additional information. And, of course, there is an e-commerce link.

In the Home Depot store, the QR codes are displayed with the item for sale. They are also shown in a very visible location in advertisements.

The nationwide campaign provides convenience and information to the Home Depot shopper when and where it is needed.
