Building on Strong Growth in 2006, Nellymoser Begins Management Expansion
BOSTON - January 16, 2007 - Nellymoser, the leading mobile media and service delivery platform provider, today announced its new CEO, Susanne Bowen. With over 20 years of business and sales experience, she brings a strong background of increasing shareholder value, scaling company development and advancing product strategy. Building on strong growth, Nellymoser is expanding its management team while continuing to offer innovative award-winning platform technology that has been proven to reach the widest audience on mobile devices with rich media content like streaming video and music.
"Nellymoser is in a strong position to dominate the mobile content delivery space with customers including Fox Interactive Media/IGN, Sony Connect, Macromedia, Hachette Filipacchi Media US, Microsoft, and Warner Music Group, and its next generation mobile media platform designed to push rich mobile content faster and further than any other technology," said Susanne Bowen, CEO of Nellymoser. "I look forward to working with our experienced and talented team to expand our reach and increase our market share as more content owners grasp the power of the mobile channel."
Most recently, Bowen was the Chairman and CEO of Webhire, Inc., where she was responsible for the development and execution of a corporate strategy designed to accelerate the company's growth and market position. As a result Webhire's value increased nearly 400% in just two years prior to its sale.
"Susanne's proven ability to accelerate corporate growth and drive successful strategic business plans are a good fit for Nellymoser as we aggressively expand in the mobile marketplace," said Ron Fisher, Managing Partner of Softbank Capital. "Her strong leadership along with Nellymoser's deep domain expertise, distinguished senior management, and leading mobile media delivery platform make a winning combination built to dominate this fast paced market. As someone with the best understanding of Nellymoser's technology, platform and applications, John Puterbaugh will remain actively involved as Founder and Chief Strategist and continue as the impetus behind the company's vision, product development and proven track record of industry leading innovation."
Bowen has also held senior executive positions with Workscape, ENTEX Information Services and JWP Information Services. While at Workscape, she played a significant role in driving the strategy and sales, professional services and ASP operating plans. As senior vice president at ENTEX, she was credited with more than quadrupling the company's revenues in the southern region from $146 million to over $530 million. Bowen earned a B.S. in business administration from University of Southern California. Active in the Boston area, she is a partner at Social Venture Partners, and a member of both The Boston Club and The Commonwealth Institute.
"Susanne's track record of growing software and services businesses will enable us to leverage our strong technology and premier customers as the market for rich mobile content rapidly evolves. Her deep sales and marketing expertise matched with her ability to lead and inspire world-class teams will make her a valuable partner as we expand and deepen the management team," said John Puterbaugh, Founder and Chief Strategist, Nellymoser.
