NELLYMOSER HIRES ANDY SHERMAN AS VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES
Further Expansion of the Management Team Reflects Company's Fast Growth and Demand for Rich, Interactive Mobile Services
BOSTON - June 4, 2007 - Nellymoser, the leading mobile media and service delivery platform provider, today announced the appointment of Andy Sherman as its vice president of sales. Based in the company's Arlington, Mass., headquarters, he will be responsible for driving sales, channel strategies, and business development.
Nellymoser is expanding its sales organization to meet the media and carrier market demand to generate increasing revenues from the mobile channel. Sherman is teaming closely with executive Roy Joseph to capitalize on Joseph's vast mobile industry experience and to accelerate Nellymoser's position as the leading provider of rich, interactive mobile services. Joseph will be responsible for international expansion and key account and channel development. This news dovetails with recent announcements around the company's ASAO platform capabilities and industry recognitions.
"Andy is a powerful addition to our team of domain experts. He brings extensive knowledge of strategic technology sales, services and dynamic early stage markets. I look forward to Andy's success driving our rapid growth, client successes, and continuing our momentum," said Susanne Bowen, CEO of Nellymoser. "During the second half of the year, the Nellymoser team will have greater capacity to address increased client demand and increase the capabilities of our platform and support innovative technology in the areas of advertising, user generated content, and streaming video and audio."
Before joining Nellymoser, Sherman was CEO of CenterStone Software where he doubled sales during his two year tenure which led the company to its ultimate acquisition by Manhattan Software. Previously, he was vice president of sales at NaviSite, a managed hosting service provider. Sherman was directly responsible for growing NaviSite from a small start-up to over $100 million in revenues, which helped lead to a celebrated IPO in 1999. In addition, he previously held sales and management positions in premiere organizations such as IBM, MCI Telecommunications, Apple Computer and Powersoft/Sybase. He holds a B.A. in History, cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
